Math Question

A rectangular floor is \( 4 \mathrm{yd} \) long and \( 3 \mathrm{yd} \) wide. We want to tile the floor with tile sold by the square foot.
(a) Find the area of the floor in square feet.
Use the table of conversion facts, as needed.
(b) We want to cover the floor with tiles. We don't have any to begin with and we
can't buy partial boxes of tile. Each box of tile covers \( 16 \mathrm{ft}^{2} \). How many whole
boxes of tile do we need to buy in order to completely cover the floor?
(c) If each box of tile costs \( \$ 24.50 \), how much will we need to spend on tile?
\( \$[? \)
